Relaxing Rental in the Blue Ridge Mountains

The Nestle Inn

Recently, my wife LeighAnn and I discovered a very special place in North Carolina. It’s an incredible Highlands Vacation Rental, newly renovated in a tasteful industrial/farmhouse style, with anything and everything you might need for a relaxing and luxurious respite.

Rooms Upon Rooms

This well-appointed home has three bedrooms and four baths, all on one easy living level, and the split floorplan affords everyone some peace and privacy.

The large master bedroom has a King bed and a private bath with a soaking tub, walk-in tiled shower and double vanities. The guest wing has two bedrooms, each with its own private bath. One has a Queen bed, and the other has two Queen beds. The entirety of this gorgeous home has been thoughtfully designed and detailed, including the beds and furnished linens in these rooms.

The great room encompasses an open kitchen, dining area, and living area, with a vaulted ceiling and plenty of natural light. A wood-burning fireplace, the bar area, barn doors that open to the pantry, and the Edison lighting over the farmhouse table are all focal points that deserve attention.

Everything’s Included. Everything.

There are two fire pits for you to enjoy, one in an alcove of the graveled driveway, the other in the side yard. A screened-in, covered front porch makes a lovely dining spot to dig into those steaks you bring in from the gas grill. Or sit on the porch and enjoy a crackling fire in the cool evenings. And it’s all against the backdrop of lush, colorful rhododendrons.

There is a laundry area and a “more-than-a-powder-room” bathroom tucked away mid-center. There’s also an alcove set up as an office if you really need to do some work, with the half bath close by.

Plenty of parking for you and your guests. No need to worry about night “visitors.” There is monitored exterior video surveillance, and the garbage receptacles are, yes, bear-proof!

This location couldn’t be better. You’re only a few minutes to Main Street, Highlands for 5-star restaurants and shopping. Into nature and hiking? Art your thing? Check out the Bascom Center for the Visual Arts, Highlands Playhouse and The Martin-Lipscomb Performing Arts Center. Highlands Country Club and Cliffside Lake Recreation are close by. And if you happen to be enchanted by waterfalls, this area is absolutely for you. You have Bridal Veil Falls, Dry Falls, and Glen Falls.

If you prefer your entertainment indoors and electronic, there are TVs in the living area and both guest bedrooms with Netflix, HuLu, Disney+, YouTubeTV, and AppleTV.

It is animal friendly, but pets must be under 20 lbs., approved and a pet fee is required.

Don’t Take Our Word For It…

50th Birthday at Nestle Inn

“We had a wonderful 4-night trip celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday! Nestle Inn is the perfect place for a group of 8. We had plenty of room, and the 4 bathrooms were ideal. The house has absolutely everything you need! It is so close to town; making shopping, eating, and the spa so convenient. We truly enjoyed our first trip to the Highlands and can’t wait to return!”

Amazing Cabin Stay!

“Our family stayed at Nestle Inn for five nights in February. We felt so lucky to stay at such a beautiful cabin! These owners have thought about everything you could possibly need during your stay! The kitchen table was such a treat to sit and talk during our meals! We made a fire in the fire pit and roasted hotdogs and made s’mores! So close to town and so many hikes nearby! We will definitely be back!”

The Perfect Place to Nestle Inn

“An absolutely charming home with all the amenities: gorgeous and cozy living area; spacious, welcoming kitchen; and large bedrooms with comfy private baths, met all of our needs. The cozy fire pits (yes, two!) and chairs located off the easy access driveway, are the perfect spots at the end of a day of exploring that make you want to kick back, relax, put the cell phones away, and just ‘be’ in nature!”

Excellent Place to stay - Affordable and Great vacation Spot

“I just stayed at this place two weeks ago and I don’t even know where to start. House is super clean and the host has done a great job with everything in the house to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. You could not duplicate the views and location of the house. It is perfect for a family gateway and there are so many things to do in town, as well.”
