I look at the video on the news and am struck by two opposing images. In some places in the world lack of water is causing famine and death. In other parts of the globe flooding is washing away homes and people.

From its ancient roots as an empire to the beauty of the Renaissance, Rome is a magnificent city.

London is one of my favorite destinations. One minute you’re shopping along a street filled with modern stores and buildings, the next minute you’ll turn a corner and find yourself staring at a 1,000-year-old structure of architectural interest and great beauty.
