With the current weather in Nashville (cold and rainy), I’m fantasizing about one
of my most favorite travel destinations: Mexico’s Riviera Maya and the Mayakoba
resort. Hands down, this is one of the best luxury hotels I’ve had the pleasure of
staying at. Get comfortable, because I’m about to tell you why!
For any new readers our there, let me start by saying that my family and I love to
travel and my wife and I are always on the hunt for the finest hotels we can find.
And that’s how we came across the Mayakoba resort!
When your home base is covered under snow and ice (or rain in my case),
Mexico welcomes you with open arms and plenty of sunshine. But the Riviera
Maya, on the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, is especially appealing and
offers a little something for everyone – attractions, activities, etc. If relaxation is
your thing, you’re in the right place as well!
As you can imagine, a location like this has many major resorts to offer, but if you
want the best, look no further than the Mayakoba. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by
a welcome tray of fine tequila . . . I can probably stop there, but I’ll continue! And
talk about a great way to set the tone for your trip! The accommodations are
lavish, the spa is amazing, and the service is hard to top. This is the peak of
The resort itself is a 600-acre resort community with three hotels and shared
common facilities – my favorite, the golf course! Each hotel has its own spa, gym,
beach club, and multiple restaurants, which all guests can utilize throughout their
Each and every room offers water front views – either lagoon, canal, or beach,
and many have private docks. If that’s not your thing, most of the incredible
rooms offer private plunge pools and outdoor showers. Open your patio doors
and step right onto the beach. It doesn’t get more convenient than that!
The resort is the epitome of the complete package with a great beach and
excellent facilities. The cherry on top of the experience is the incredible staff who
are attentive and friendly and try to make your stay as personal as possible. If
golf is your thing, the Mayakoba is home to the very best golf course in the
Riviera Maya. Bottom line, you’ll leave your vacation relaxed, well fed, and a
better golfer! Add the Mayakoba to the top of your travel list for 2018!
